Protect your vehicle's paint without compromising its appearance with our Oraguard 270 Stone Guard film. Oracal Oraguard 270 is perfect for protecting your vehicle's paint from rock chips and other road debris. This material is best used on flat or gently curved surfaces on a variety of vehicles, including trucks, cars, SUVs, off-road vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles and trailers. Metal furniture as well! Applications include hoods, front (A) pillars, facing edge of bumpers and areas behind wheels, especially on off-road vehicles. Great to protect paint on mountain bikes and off-road motorcycles too! The clear six mil film is easy to apply with a soap and water solution and provides a glossy finish that enhances your vehicle's appearance. If this is your first application, you will want to try a sample area. Here are installation instructions. If you have never applied this material yourself, you may want to have a professional do the installation. 1) Clean surface.2) Preparation: Spray soapy solution (approx. three drops soap per 16 oz. water) onto a clean flat metal or glass surface. Your hood, or windshield should be fine for this. Again, this is the preparation process - not the mounting process. Place Oraguard glossy side down - not sticky side down - on the wet surface . Peel backing and then spray sticky side with soapy water so that is doesn't stick to itself.3) Spray the surface where the material will be mounted generously with the soapy water.4) Flip over the Oraguard 270 and apply to vehicle/metal surface where you want to protect the paint/surface. 5) Squeegee from center using a felt covered squeegee. Push the soapy solution to the edges. Provide more "oomph" on the edges to remove moisture.6) Let dry, then trim edges.7) You may see some residual moisture under the material, but this will disappear in approximately two to 30 days depending on application. A squeegee is included with all 72" long material purchases. You can also use a paint or drywall squeegee with the edge covered with SOFT felt, such as that available with hook and loop fasteners.
